24: Mary Lynn Rajskub Gives Birth to Baby Boy
Mary Lynn Rajskub gave birth to a baby boy last Thursday. The child, Rajskub’s first, was delivered two weeks after the baby’s due date. The father, physical trainer Matthew Rolph, did not want to know the sex of the baby, so the couple kept it a surprise until birth. Rajskub has taken a short maternity leave from her role on 24, where she plays terse computer whiz Chloe O’Brian. While FOX has not been specific as to how they’ve dealt with Rajskub’s absence during the current filming of season 7, it was reported earlier this month that Carlo Rota was being brought in to spell Chloe during her mysterious leave from the action of 24’s seventh season. Rota plays Morris O’Brian, Chloe’s ex-husband and possible father of Chloe’s now-young child.
Rajskub is one of the few peripheral characters who was retained by 24 as they moved into their seventh season. 24, which was supposed to air season 7 last January, was severely hampered by the writers’ strike and was forced to postpone season 7 until January 2009. This delay has allowed 24, however, to film a two-hour prequel film in the meantime. 24: Exile, which was filmed almost entirely on location in South Africa, bridges the gap between seasons 6 and 7.
Mary Lynn Rajskub has had a funny little career path. A stand-up comic by trade, she’s mostly eked out a Hollywood career via bit, comedic parts. Then, 24 came along, and Rajskub was cast as an entirely unfunny character. Chloe is serious to a fault, and it makes her a great, unique character. Hopefully, Rajskub can take a deserved post-birth rest, and get back to the 24 set as soon as possible. Jack Bauer is going to need her help at some point.
Mirrors Soundtrack Release
7 August: The soundtrack for Kiefer’s upcoming movie, Mirrors, hits stores August 12th with music composed by Javier Navarrete.

(August 5, 2008- Los Angeles, CA) – Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for MIRRORS, available via iTunes and in stores on August 12. The soundtrack contains original music composed by Javier Navarrete (Pan’s Labyrinth).
Spanish composer Javier Navarrete earned his first Academy Award® nomination for Pan’s Labyrinth, his second collaboration with director Guillermo del Toro. Navarrete began scoring in 1987 and has composed some 30 film scores since making his debut. His credits include 2003’s Dot the I, a romantic drama, and 2004’s Yo Puta.
Though not well known in the United States, Navarrete has been likened to French composer Alexandre Desplat – both well regarded in their home countries and both achieving commercial success in the United States with their debut scores. His upcoming projects include Fireflies in the Garden (starring Julia Roberts and Ryan Reynolds) and Inkheart (starring Brendan Fraser, Helen Mirren, and Paul Bettany).
The film Haute Tension put French writer/director Alexandre Aja on the horror movie map. It was edited and released in the US as High Tension. That film led to Wes Craven approaching Aja about remaking the film The Hills Have Eyes. The result was a highly successful film in the genre.
Initially Aja was approached to remake the 2003 South Korean horror film Into the Mirror. Rather than simply remake the film, Aja and co-writer Gregory Levasseur were inspired to write a new story. A security guard (Kiefer Sutherland) discovers an evil spirit lurking in the mirrors of an abandoned department store. His soon-to-be ex-wife (Paula Patton), a coroner, has a hard time believing her husband’s claims. MIRRORS also stars Amy Smart, Jason Flemyng, and Julian Glover.
20th Century Fox and New Regency present MIRRORS in theaters on August 15, 2008. MIRRORS original soundtrack on Lakeshore Records is available here.

‘24′ Actress Gives Birth to Boy
Unlike on “24,”” star Mary Lynn Rajskub wasn’t in a particular rush when it come to childbirth.
The actress gave birth to a baby boy two weeks after her due date, reports People.
“It was like an episode of 24 with the clock ticking,” jokes Rajskub.
The boy, named Valentine Anthony, weighed 9 lbs., 5 oz. and is the first child for Rajskub, 36, and her boyfriend Matthew Rolph, 28, a physical trainer.
The couple met while Rajskub was doing stand-up.
Rajskub is known for playing the wry Chloe O’Brian on FOX’s “24,” which returns to television in January. Her other credits include “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Legally Blonde 2,” “Punch-Drunk Love” and “Dude, Where’s My Car?”
24 is coming with season seven
So at last after the years long rumor game, now we can surely say that season seven is coming of 24 show. What if after four years of season six. Be cool because something is always better than nothing. Now in season six, Chloe’s baby will be three to four year old instead of being a new born. Also, the new president won’t be as new as previously thought. Perhaps that will have an important part to play in season 7’s plot. Watch your Jack again pushing the troubles away.

Now we are expecting the future story from the season seven as it is after thirteen years of its beginning so timeline should be in accordance. I think it should be 2014. Jack must have turned old behind our eyes. First time when Jack Bauer appeared he was 35 and now he will be 47 to 48 years old. Means he will equal the age of Kiefer Sutherland’s age in the season one. The season seven is going to premier in January of 2009 and in addition the Prequel, set and shot primarily in South Africa will be aired in November 23.
I am personally among the one who are waiting for the new season. Though I missed many of its episodes partially, but still as much as I watched, I loved it and it is still safe in my memory and I usually go for downloading its previous seasons in anticipation of the new upcoming similar dose of entertainment.

Miley Taking Dance-off to Teen Choice
Take your unicycle and get lost, Carolla, it’s time for Dancing With Miley.
Miley Cyrus and pal Mandy Jiroux’s ongoing online dance contest is stepping up to network television, E! News has learned exclusively.
Multiple show sources confirm that Cyrus, who is hosting the Teen Choice Awards on Fox, has arranged to do a series of dance battles against her and Jiroux’s rival ACDC male dance crew.
Miley, who debuts songs from her new album “Breakout” tomorrow on Good Morning America, had been pushing to settle the popular YouTube competition on network TV. “She knows fans want to see more, and this seemed like a perfect way to do it,” says a show source, adding that producers are still working on how voting will take place.
At Monday night’s Step Up 2: The Streets DVD release party, actor/dancer Adam Sevani, lead member of the rival dance group ACDC, told E! News where the next dance battle would take place: “It’s the Teen Choice Awards.”r
Asked who will win, Sevani replied, “We’ll see.”
Cyrus will lord over the ceremony Aug. 3 in L.A.; it will air on tape-delay the following day. A Fox rep declined to comment.
Sources say Cyrus had been talking to at least one other network besides Fox about doing a TV version of the dance-off.
The dance battle so far has been viewed more than 18 million times on YouTube.
The high-stepping showdown began after the ACDC crew challenged Cyrus and best friend/backup dancer Jiroux to a friendly competition.
On April 10, a group formed by Jon Chu (director of Step Up 2: The Streets) and Sevani challenged the girls to “the biggest dance battle in online history.” ACDC posted a dance video on YouTube and asked M&M to respond with one of their own.
On April 13, the “M&M Cru With a U” released a video to the Madonna and Justin Timberlake song “4 Minutes.” It was an instant YouTube smash, with more than 1 million views in the first 24 hours. The video even included Step Up stars Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan
ACDC responded with an April 30 clip featuring Lindsay Lohan, Adam Sandler and Chris Brown and telling M&M to “step your game up.”
And step it up they did. On June 10, the girls released their “Final Dance Video,” featuring Jenna Dewan, Carson Daly, Joey Fatone and Ryan Seacrest, who showed off his best chicken dance.

Miss America Bets on Vegas Again
The Miss America Organization is putting all of its chips on neon.
The pageant proprietor announced Thursday that Miss America Live! will be returning to Las Vegas‘ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for the next two years.
The hotel on the famed Vegas Strip was also the scene of 2008 Miss America Live!, TLC’s revamped take on the festivities, which now include a series of competitions leading up to the main event and plenty of online interaction.
To combat flagging interest in the nearly century-old tradition, the competition also made a brief foray into reality TV last year, when CMT aired the seven-episode Finding Miss America.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Planet Hollywood again for this year’s telecast,” Art McMaster, president and CEO of the Miss America Organization, said. “We are continuing to build on new traditions here in Las Vegas, and we are so pleased that Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has chosen to be a part of Miss America’s continuing history in the entertainment capital of the world.”
“We are delighted to have 52 of the most beautiful girls on the planet returning here to their home at Planet Hollywood,” added hotel president Michael Mecca.
Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund will pass her crown on to another gown-and-swimsuit-donning beauty on Jan. 24, 2009. TLC will broadcast the ceremony live from Planet Hollywood’s Theatre for the Performing Arts.
